RMS velocity by DES or LES?

Default RMS velocity by DES or LES?

Recently, i begine to use 3D DES and LES to simulate jet and two opposed jets. i encounter following questions: (1) if DES is suitable for Re=2000~4000 flow? (2) How to get rms velocity? (3) If the rms velocity obtained by unsteady statistic data is believable?
