DPM: Weber Number Break-up?

Hello out there,
I wanted to ask if anyone knows, if droplets (in reality) break up if the velocity is too low (that is a Weber Number less than 6)? In the TAB BU model, a droplet disintegrates if the Weber Number reaches the critical Number of 6. Then we have a vibrational BU-mode. But what if the Number is even smaller? Would be happy if anyone could give me an answer. Thank you. MA |

I am new in this, but i can share small knowledge.
I think the weber number less than 12 will not exist, if the We is less than 12, the drop formation will not occur. ckeck the attchment for We Vs breakup time. even, I want to know why exactly 12 (this is critical We number). |
