rotating wheels

How can I say to Fluent than car's wheels rotate? Is it in Gambit? Wheels are on the ground.

well , use gambit for meshing first , then import to fluent . after that use docs or google to read on How dealing with the Dynamic meshes , or moving rotating frame I guess . Good luck

Actually there is a moving wall option in boundary conditions where can be specified speed, direction etc easily.

The mesh has not to be dynamic, just boundaries are moving.

HEy u r welcome , But i was wondering How come the mesh has not to be dynamic , the wheels is not rotating ? anyways , Hope u will explain more now to me ! it is ur turn to help me !!

u can run as rotating wall bc, mrf zone, sliding mesh or moving/deforming mesh (first 2 run ss, last 2 run transient).

Hi,

In the case of rotating wheels, there is no modification of shape so mesh has not to move, the only things witch are modified are the boundaries condition (roughness etc)

Right now I have turbulent velocity in...300000 cells...I need to fix it!
