Default Using Fluent to simulate droplet impact

Currently, I am using Fluent to simulate 2D liquid droplet impact onto rigid surface. The droplet is 2 mm in diameter and 2 m/s. I used implicit, VOF scheme. Though the simulation works, but the results is far from the experimental results and disagree with the physical meaning. For example, with 2m/s droplet, it took 10 ms to travel 1 mm in the simulation, this result disagrees with the real physical result that should be 0.5 ms. I tried set the velocity to both absolute and superfacial, but they show the same results. Is there anyone has the exerimence of simulation of droplet impact can help me?

Thanks

J

Hi,

I am already trying to simulate droplet impact on a solid dry surface, but I have major problems. would you please help me by introducing the related and helpful tutorials?

Thank you,

Hi
I'm also trying to simulate droplet impact on solid surface with vof (dynamic mesh) but the droplet didn't move, although I give it 2 m/s as velocity.

Could u please help me?

thank you
