I haven't worked with FLUENT for a number of months and I am wonder how to convert a SolidWorkd (CAD) file into a FLUENT file with all faces pre-defined?

U have to save the Solidworks file as a Parasolid file(with extension ".x_t"). Then you can import this file from Gambit. Then you can define all the boundary conditions and export it into FLUENT.

use the SW CAD connection tool which is free and comes with Gambit or FloWIzard.

Dear Daniel Actually most of the CAD using conversion that well recognize by other CAD and also for Gambit

Such are :

ACIS (make acis version 8) IGES etc

But i prefer to ACIS, export your *.prt of your solid work dile to ACIS but choose version 8, because sometimes there is conflict, also u can open ACIS file in AUTOCAD or export AUTOCAD to ACIS then import the file from gambit, next u can examine your need in gambit for proper modeling by your condition and constraints
