Define wall using UDF

Dear All,

I am trying to simulate a domain which resembles a two cylinder engine. Is it possible to define a wall using udf for specified time interval during the combustion cycle? It is required to close the ports of one cylinder while the other is operating or else there could be flow into the 1st cylinder. To avoid this phenomena I need to define wall or is there any other option. Please help...

Thanks...Abhijit

Dear All,

Kindly note during start of the solution the face is defined as interior and for few time steps it needs to be converted to wall.

Thanks...Abhijit

Hi,

You can do that in Fluent using Events. Please look in the User GUide for help on Events.

Thanks for your reply & suggestion. I could find thread which suggested to define interface at the port face & delete the interface during running of solution at specified or required time step so that the cylinder remains disconneted.

Regards, Abhijit.
