some questions for supersonic channel nozzle

Hi, everyone,

I am doing some simulation of supersonic nozzle. In my case, the nozzle has a rectangular throat of 5x30mm and a rectangular throat of 5x500mm.

Is it possible to get a non-seperative supersonic flow inside the whole nozzle?? I know that the boundary layer will significantly effect the flow field in the nozzle, but I don't know how to consider it when I build the model and simulate.

Can anyone give me some advices of how to consider this kind of problems? P.S, I have some experience of the simulation of circular supersonic nozzle.

You can avoid separation by optimising the nozzle outer contour.

Thank you for your kind reply.

My question is to find the Non-seperation dimensions.

I want to get the nozzle exit width as wide as possible, for example, 500mm. At the same time, I want to decrease the throat size as possible for saving the gas used.

The problem is to find in which condition the seperation will be occures. Then I can decide the throat size and exit size.

Any recommandation will be welcome.
