I need to make unsteady calculations of rotor-stator interaction. Angular speed is increasing. I'm using sliding mesh to specify the rotor motion.

How rotor speed increasing can be specified? Suppose I should use UDF but can not find proper one.

Please write how I can solve this problem? Thank tou

Dear Ilia,

I am sorry I cannot help you with this. However, if you find how to change the angular speed as a function of time be careful what kind of accuracy you want from your model. Why?

1 - FLUENT implementation is for constant angular speed. It is missing the source term in the momentum equation that account for the angular acceleration (omega dot x R).

2 - If your simulation requires the solution of the energy equation, you also need additional source terms not provided by FLUENT to account for variable angular speed.

Good luck,

Opaque
