Hello,
I have a geometry consisting of concentric cirles. When the quad, pave mesh was generated, it wasn't axisymmetric!! So I would like to know how to refine it and transform it as well. Thank you |

if u want to define as axisymmetric then define the x- axis as axis (in 2D flow). It will work

Hi, After looking to ur post I have tried it in gambit for a 2d case creating half cylinder making the exterior and interior circular arcs as walls and the the straight edges as symmetry boundary condition. and exported the mesh to fluent. I have a veiw of the mesh in fluent along the symmetry line and it looks symmetrical for the quad pave mesh u have specified. So please look at how u are giving ur boundary conditions or please tell how u have done the meshing. Bye

Hi. Refer tutorial -7 in fluent (tg-7).i,e, using a single rotating reference frame. And also run dish.msh file in fluent. u can see how the boundary condition is defined.
