Default How to set rotating wall as boundary condition

Hi, I am quite new in CFD simulation. I am doing a simulation something like that, there is a rectangular surface. In the surface there is a restriction like a orifice plate(actually another rectangular plate) in the middle position attached to the upper edge. The upper wall is statinary and the lower wall is rotating.the lower wall is actually a shaft. How should I define this roatation as a boundary condition in the lower wall which is rotating. Its a 2d problem. I have defined the problem as a axisymmetric model

In my opinion, you can try to use the MRF method,in the fluent help,youcan find the example refered to the MRF!

I have checked the example. But for my case it is only one reference rotating frame problem. I have also checked the single reference frame example.Could you tell me is it ok if i do like this " I take the rotaing edge(the line as it is 2d) as a wall and define it as a rotational wall and give the value of shaft rotation to that wall. Because there is a option in fluent to do the wall as a rotating wall. But in the example they have given the rotation speed to the fluid zone. Should I give rotation to the fluid zone or only in the inner edge?

you should define a fluid zone which contains the edge you said,and then define this zone as a ratation field!

Should I make different zone for the near rotaing wall section or should I take all the fluid as rotating?

Consider entire fluid zone as rotating.

hi
I want to model a liquid film on a rotating disk,I use axisymmetric swirl,is it correct?
I heard something about moving refrence frame!does it work for my modeling?

Hi friend i am ding cpu cooling system problem, in this i have to given the SNPS FAN rpm , please tell me how can i give the fan rpm in fluent....
