Any one can help how to use steam as material in fluent. I have seen H2o vapuour in the material list. This can be used at as substitute of steam? Please calrify.

Dear Freind,

Just give the values of steam in material properties panel while closing overwrite the properties of air, so that u can use properties of steam

But the properties of steam will vary for different temperatures and pressures. In my domain wide range of pressure and temperature is present. And in my domain the steam enters as dry steam and leaves as wet steam. could you help me.

I was confused by your words above referring to dry and wet steam. Please be aware...steam is 100% water. It is not "humid air" or "wet air". Is that possibly what you were thinking?

steam is 100% saturated it is called dry steam, and when there is some moisture it is called wet steam

Dear Friend,

Then u can use polynomial type of material properties, just take the matreial properties in excel then draw an graph and get the values of coeff from graphs then give that values..... This will help u surely bye.....

hello everyone,
I have a real gas contains vapor water as my material that in my model water condensation will occur. please tell me if i can use the "wet steam" model in my simulation. if yes, can I use the srk eos as udf with wet steam model because the pressure in my work is very high.
