URGENT! PROB. WITH FLUENT 6.4 in DPM in PARALLEL

I cannot save .dat in parallel. Fluent crashes! I'm using Fluent 6.4 beta in Vista 64-bit with 8 computing nodes. The injection was created in Fluent 6.4.

Please help!!!

It might have something to do with your DPM panel under the parallel option. Try changing it and see whether that would work.....it has to conform to the type of MPI you're using. I had a similar problem but was not even reading in my data file and apparently, the problem was from there.

Good luck!

Thank you a lot for your help! I did what you said,(unclick the DPM in weighting in partition and load balance menu) and there are ~50% chances of saving! I do not understand what is hapening... I'm using mpich2.

Hi,

Just refer to the user manual for the fluent 6.4 and there should be some note on what to do if you are using fluent parallel for the DPM. I checked mine for the fluent fluent 6.3 and they suggested something there that i used to solve my problem.

Good luck!

Don't use fluent 6.4 beta with DPM !
