CFD in Ground Effect

Hello Guys,

I have a couple of enquiries regarding a dissertation I am doing regarding WIGE for aeronautical purposes. My dissertation is done entirely in 2D and 3D and I used 3 different turb models SA K-O SST and RSM. I would like to know why in a much more literature answer why the SA and K-O SST preformed better than the RSM model.

Furthermore, i used first point height for my bl mesh and obviously tried to keep my y+ values around 1 for the SA and K-O, but when iterating the same exact mesh for the RSM I was having some rather strange convergence issues. Why is that?

I also did not use any K-Epsilon models because of their stagnation point problems. I thought my drag values would strongly deviate from reality and therefore opted for a K-O SST. Why is this stagnation problem occuring? However, I have seen that many of you have suggested this turbulence model, why? Is it purely because of time?

Thanks in advance for your responses, really appreciate any help I can get!
