rotating airfoil

Hi, i have coordinates for my airfoil at 0 angle of attack. How can i find its coordinates at 6 degree angle of attack. Please note i dont wanna change inlet velocity i wanna actually draw my rotated airfoil and then mesh it. Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks Usman

Or search on Google for "rotation matrix". An Analytical Geometry book will help ...

Hi,

Just do the jacobian of the co-ordinate axis. in 2d it will be

cos sin -sin cos

of the angle between the two axes

but

It doesnot make any difference if the coordinates are changed keeping velocity constant or change the velocity bye appropriate angle

bye
