advantage of having orthogonal mesh

Hi, If a mesh lack orthogonality in regions with large contour deflectios,e.g at an airfoil leading edges, what will be the disadvantages? many thanks,

may drive the solver into divergence extreme unorthogonality cause the most problem for FVM solver

probably false diffusion with non-orthogonal mesh......pls correct me if I'm wrong.
