Moment Report from Fluent

I try to export the moment on rotational disk that spin respect to Z axis 15000 RPM, after I export the moment ( Moment center 0 0 1 ) I saw the data it have 3 sets of data by Total Moment : ( -0.00955129 0.0067281169 -0.00064097806 ) , so my question are

1. It that mean all number refer to moment of X,Y and Z direction ? If yes , why we still have x,y component because we choose only Z component.

2.If I need the total moment magnitude whai should I do Hope hear from every one soon.

Re: Moment Report from Fluent

Moment center doesn't mean moment-axis in your case, if the coordinate-system-origin is on your rotation-axis, your total moment on z-axis should be -0.00064097806

Re: Moment Report from Fluent

Yes my coordinate system origin is on the rotational axis, so if I need to report the total moment with momen center ( 0 0 1 or on reference with Z) we should get in the third term, Am I cprrected ?? ( xxxxxx, yyyyyy, zzzzz)

torque prediction in fluent

hi i m trying to predict disk friction loss of a plain disc rotating in a cylindrical enclosure, using Fluent. I am consistently overpredicting (150% minimum) the torque when compared to experimental data. I am doing an axisymmetric 2D analysis, and getting the torque directly from reports/moment.....so on.I tried all turbulence models, yplus adapation upto <1 also. But results are not very different. Can anyone help me..

thanks in advance
