Setting dynamic pressure as the inlet BC

I am trying to set a pressure inlet boundary condition in Fluent 6.1 I want to specify the static pressure at the inlet of the pipe. But Fluent only asks for the Total Pressure at inlet boundary. As soon as I run my pipe flow problem some dynamic pressure is developed and it reduces the static pressure at inlet keeping the total pressure at inlet to be equal to the value set as inlet boundary condition.

Is there a way to constraint the static pressure at inlet?

Thanks.

I think you should make the simulation in term of transient mode and see the growth of pressure time to time. But to make easier, honestly to get model more faster in convergency, you have to simulate in steady first and then change to the transient, please aware abiut time step so you can capture the growth of flow.
