Pave mesh vs Map Mesh

Hi, Is there any disavantage in using a pave mesh instead of a map scheme?

Thanks

Map is preferred because it is uniform, however, somewhere you may have to use pave mesh because one edge cannot be properly mapped onto opposite one. So, pave is just an alternative. But map is better.

Re: Pave mesh vs Map Mesh

yes as above. Pave mesh is an unstructured quad mesh wheras quad map is a structured quad mesh that is better if it can be applied.
