Smooth Grid Error! Help
Everybody! I am a newbie in Gambit and Fluent.
When I used smooth mesh option in Gamibt to improve my meshing, I got a negative volume, so I import the unsmoothen mesh into Fluent and use smooth/swap Grid option. After several smooth-swap steps, the supposed ever-decreasing "number faces swaped" begin to increase; at the same time, "Warning, non-positive volumes exist" comes out. Is "smooth" step always necessary? If so, is it necessary to get the "number faces swaped" decreased until it reaches zero? Here is the error message, some are : ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to Fluent 6.3.26 Copyright 2006 Fluent Inc. Re: Smooth Grid Error! Help
Hi dear.......
as per my knowledge, If your geometry is very complex then you can use smooth the grid because during the meshing, by default it does smoothing of grid. After that If you want to go for smoothing option, then you go for "redomain" option in grid then u can smooth the grid or you can go for GRID adaptation option. If I am wrong for your desired solution, then I am sorry. But above option may be helpful for you Regards Devesh |
