Mesh problem?

Hello, I am new to gambit (and fluent), and trying to modify previously created model.

Here's what I have done so far. I have saved the previous gambit file under a new name, and have modified a few features of it to satisfy the need, and am trying to mesh it pretty much the same way that it was done before.

Is there a way to duplicate the same type of mesh? I mean, is there a way for finding out what type of scheme the previous person used to create that previous mesh? and duplicate it?

Thank you.

If you open their Gambit session ".dbs" you might find the information there. If you just have the output file (".msh") you cannot.

If it is a uniform mesh (i.e. no size functions or mesh inflations) you could try meshing the geometry with different element sizes until you have a volume mesh with a similar (or the same) number of volume elements.

read through the saved journal file (*.jou). This contains a list of commands issued and can be re-run.
