Insufficient number of particle tracks

Dear colleagues,

Does anyone know how to increase the number of particle tracks in Fluent? The matter is that original number = 25 is insufficient to predict correctly coal particles gasification in combustor with complex fluid flow.

With best regards, Vitmalin.

Re: Insufficient number of particle tracks

Hi... You can check switching on Descret Random Walk model.. In that you can set any desired no of steps accordingly (multiple of) particles will increase..!

Re: Insufficient number of particle tracks

The number of particles inside the domain depends on the type of injection(s), type of simulation(steady/unsteady), number of tries, constant diameter or particle size distribution etc. You can adjust some of these parameters as appropriate for your simulation. How do you inject the particles (point, surface, file etc) and is your particle tracking steady or unsteady?
