Default Y plus problems with 3D modeling

Hello, I am new in 3D modeling and I don´t know how to use the Y pluis adaptation in this cases. I know only 2D. Is it "normal" value Y plus for about 3000 (!) in 3D cases ? I think itĹ› too much ?!
