DYNAMIC MESHING

Hi, I am working on a dynamic meshing problem using version 6 of fluent. Im focusing on using the spring based smoothing method and remeshing options. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good papers or reference material with examples of this kind of work. Obviously I have already got the fluent notes and tutorials from the help manual, so anything additional to this.

Hi Anna, please be more specific. What's your problem? What do you want to do?

Re: DYNAMIC MESHING

im simulating a 2D oar moving from catch to finish as in a rowing stroke. So it moves in an arc relative to the hull of a boat.

All i want to know is if there are any good papers out there detailing dynamic meshing through the smoothing and remeshing options in fluent.

Try this:

http://www.fluent.com/software/unive...strategies.pdf

it gives you an idea of the possible remeshing strategy with relative options. Hope it will be helpful.

Re: DYNAMIC MESHING

Thanks, but i have already got that helpsheet, im hoping to find a journal paper or something with some detail on the use of dynamic meshing with an application. To give you an idea of what im looking for i have come across a paper called Two-dimensional simulation of unsteady marine propulsor blade flow using dynamic meshing techniques by Rhee S.H. it is free to view via sciencedirect of google scholar, something along the same lines as this...

Very nice paper. Sorry I can't help you then.
