System jams when re-opening

Hi to All
Whenever I re-open an existing case/data file that was working OK before, and want to continue iterating, the software jams. Has anyone encountered such a problem before? Regards AAA |

Hi again
My problem (in more detail) is that the software becomes idle when I try to keep iterating through a case having a "sliding mesh" modeling. Regards AAA |

For sliding grids the case is transient and so each mesh has a specific data field. Make sure they match. Is the case from a later Fluent version? Does the grid check succeed? Can it be initialised and run? Run a case chek if using F63.

Thanks for your reply
What I am really doing is that I am using the sliding mesh facility to analyze different configurations (rather than redrawing the whole thing in Gambit again for about 100 cases). Each time step provides a new domain setup, and I would like to switch the unsteady simulation to a steady one after getting the new domain and keep iterating by assigning the sliding mesh zone with a 0 m/s velocity. At every time step, the case/data files are Autosaved, and I can re open them with no problem. But for each of these case/data files I previously saved, I can not keep iterating again once I re-open them. The case and data files match. I am using Fluent 6.3 The grid check is OK. But the case/data files CAN NOT be initialized and run again, here is the problem! AAA |
