Default Ethane&air combustion

I have a pipe. I put 02 and H20 vapor from the left and C2H6 from the top (nearly a the O2 inlet). The pipe is open on the right (at the end)

Pipe is long 1450mm, 50mm diameter

I would model this combustion between ethane and 02.I know "the mass flow in" of O2 and H2O at about 1100°K. I know "the mass flow in" of ethane too. At the end of the pipe I know the pressure. These are my BCs.

I followed step by step a tutorial about methane-air combustion. I supposed my problem is very similar.

I use costant cp & density, energy equation and 0.6 relaxion factor for each chemical compound. The viscosity and mass transfer are the same of the tutorial. Initial condition: C2H6 less than O2, pressure 0, T= 1100°K. Anway my problem not converge and I do not see my pressure rises up (it is about 1 atm uniform, like the pressure_outlet).

Durign the iteration like "temperature is set maximum 5e3" is written. What means?

Can I solve my problem? My principal target is defining the temperature How you can understand I'm a newbie about fluent.

Hi,

The temp 5e3 means it is at 5000K.(Due to combustion the temp has increased)

In order to determine whether the combustion has occured or not check for the species. How do you create the combustion by patch or by initiating the temp(means by increaing the temp) Thanks Rupal
