hi when using the incylinder model for the simulation of a 3D valve and piston movement you have to create different zones in gambit around the valve : valve layer, valvestem zone. (according to the fluent users guide)

does anybody know how to create these zones in gambit? thanks

the zones are simply volumes in Gambit TGo to Zones Panel, and Continuum Types. Choose your Volume, affect it the right name, and the right type (fuid/solid) That's all
