Eulerian-eulerian multiphase modeling

Hi,

I am using Eulerian-eulerian multiphase model to model the gas-solid fluidized bed. My study requires the bubble diameter in the bed. May i know how can i generate the results for bubble diameter by using the existing multiphase model?

Thanks Regards, Wee

U can refer the tutorial in fluent, Tut 22: Using the Eulerian Granular Multiphase Model with Heat Transfer.

Wee,

Bubble diameter is a input parameter to the multiphase model. So you would need to either derive the average bubble diameter using some co-relation or use the Musig model to generate bubble size distribution in the model.

I would suggest the first approach since the flow pattern would be more important than the bubble size distribution. Also with all the complexities of Musig model you would never be sure if you model parameters are correct and it may give just an incremental difference in the results.
