Default Boundary condition for Progressive cavity pump

Can anyone please tell me what boundary condition be use for a progressive cavity pump (PCP)? I am using Ansys Fluent and dynamic mesh method is used for rotor movement.
I tired with pressure inlet and pressure outlet boundary condition, but the discharge at outlet is getting positive value ( the value was not matching with experiment). Other boundary condition such as mass inlet and pressure outlet also tried, but required pressure (experiment value) not generating.

Hi Marinl,

I am working in PC pumps CFD simulation, I could generate structured mesh using ICEM. I stuck in fluent remeshing. I have a UDF for rotating the rotor inside the cavity using DEFINE_CG_MOTION function but updating the mesh did not work. once I got negative volume detected, and once I got a left hand elements.
If you could help me with mesh motion.
I saw ur post, How did you solve the B.C. problem with ur model

Hi Fahd,

You have to use unstructured mesh for mesh movement and use spring based smoothing and remeshing methods in the dynamic mesh model. If possible try the PCP model kinematics in solidworks or any modeling software and confirm that rotor is not touching the stator wall.
