Modelling of fluid flowing from a cylinder
Hi there,
I was wanting to model the effect of the dump expansion of fluid from a cylindrical tube into an open space but am having trouble with the approach. Should I just model the cylinder as flowing into a much larger space or is it possible to do this via another method such as a 'free space' boundary condition, etc. I heard that someone at some point modelled it into 'infinite' space but not sure if this is possible. Thanks. Any help is very much appreciated. Phil |
Re: Modelling of fluid flowing from a cylinder
Infinite space modelling in cfd is a myth. the right thing to do is determine the domian of interest to such an extent which ur hardware can bear.
So, Ur first approach may be correct. |
