Creating 3D Elbow Geometry in GAMBIT

Hello,

Can any one kindly let me know how to create a 3D 90Deg Elbow Geometry in GAMBIT. If you can provide me with the steps to create the geometry it would be very helpful.

Thank You for your time, Shubha

You can model 3D 90Deg Elbow in any cad package and import in gambit and if specifically want to work in gambit, you can refer tutorial of elbow in gambit, there step wise description is available.

Thank You Mark. But I want to specifically work on GAMBIT. Can you kindly let me know which tutorial you are referring to here. I only have the tutorial for a 2D Mixing Elbow but I am unable to find one for a 3D 90Deg Elbow. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Actually that is pretty easy in Gambit. Just create a vertex in the shape you need that pipe (for example (two straight vertexes connected by a circular vertex - you can use points to define the beginnings and ends) , then create a face with the diameter you need. The go to Geometry/Volume and use the sweep faces function. Voila your elbow :)
