temperature problem with non-premixed combustion

Default temperature problem with non-premixed combustion

Hello all.i simulate gas combustion using the PDF mixture fraction model,DO radiation model(fluent 6.3). i got a converged result, but the temperatue is about 200K higher than the normal situation. i checked the grid and the models, i dont know why this happen. please help me, thank you very much!

Hi vic yang,

I am also working in non premixed combustion only, please can u tell me what is PDF means in non premixed combustion, for me its is showing PDF20, please clear my doubt......

Hello Kolam,

As for the PDF mixture fraction model, you can see the help of fluent. As far as I know, the PDF20 you said maybe mean that there are 20 species in your PDF-mixture.Good luck.
