dear all,

i had a chamber and air nozzles INSIDE the chamber in one mesh file.i want the air nozzles to flow out into the chamber.

1st trial BC SET UP: air nozzle's outlet: interior air nozzle's wall: wall

RESULT: the velovity vector shows a flow going through the air nozzle's wall and some of air from the chamber seemed to flow from the chamber into the nozzles through the nozzle's outlet.

2nd trial BC SET UP: air nozzle's outlet: interface air nozzle's wall: interior

problem: i cannot define the grid interface bcoz it involves only one interface: nozzle's outlet. i go through some fluenbt's tutorial. in order to define grid interface, they must read two mesh files. what about my case?

i would like to ask for help or suggestion for my case.

Hello,

Are you sure you have the same mesh for the nozzle and the chamber? You say you have one single file, but maybe you have two separated mesh in that file...

Supposing you have one file, but two different and superposed meshes:

You don't really need to use a interface (speaking in terms of Fluent terminology). If you're using Gambit to mesh it, you just have to do some booleans operations between both volumes - the chamber and nozzle - remesh them, and then you'll have on single mesh in one single file.

If you do that, you won't need to set a BC for the nozzle outlet, as it will be set automatically as "interior" by Gambit, and the flow will pass to the chamber.

If you don't have the geometry, but just the mesh to treat with Fluent, I don't know what you're supposed to do...

My best regards, Victor
