Hello Friends, I would like to know the procedure how to graphically animate Gas-Solid Fluidized Reactor bed reactor results after running the simulations. In particular I would like to obtain the solid volume fraction at different time intervals. Please check the following paper "CFD Modeling and Validation of the Turbulent Fluidized Bed of FCC Particles,AICHE J,2009,55(7) by Gao J et al.

It would be easier if you gave a link to the file.

Regardless, the fluent solution data can be easily exported from fluent in tecplot data format for each timestep. The data from each timestep can then be imported into tecplot.

See tecplot help files for more information on timestrands. Once you have the time strands setup in tecplot, you can create the animation video files directly from tecplot.

My method of doing this, by no means the best or easiest way is to:

Use the file solution data export command from either the text menu or GUI in fluent. And then you can import into tecplot using the tecplot data loader. This is done for each time step.

Tecplot can also read directly Fluent case and data files. If you do that, then you do not need to export from Fluent, just read the data file directly from within tecplot.

ghost82 will become famous soon enough
Hi,
you have to perform in fluent a transient simulation, preferably with fixed time step, preferably with autosave future enable, so you can save .dat file after x time steps.
Then in Tecplot import fluent data and choose to load multiple .cas and .dat files: import one .cas file and all the .dat files referred to different solution time.
Tecplot will automatically arrange files and you will see the animation, which you can also export as a video.
