Hi, mates,

I am working on the evaporation of liquid fuel. In terms of the initial injection, according to the experimental data, the file is employed. The first question is that only 1D profiles of velocities, diameter, etc. are provided by experiments, but my case is 3D. How can I specify the 2D injection initial profiles? The second one is how to get the droplet diameter distribution (e.g. D32), droplet velocity profiles, radially, at some loactions, to compare them with experimental results? Thanks a lot.

You can represent 2D injection as multiple injections that lay in the same plane.

For postprocessing i believe you will have to write some UDF functions, where you can define which particles you want to analyze and what you want to calculate.

Hi, Rok,

Could you please give me more details regarding writing UDF funtions to calculate D32, mean axial-velocity, radial-velocity, etc.? Thanks a lot.

Maybe you can try looking at DEFINE_DPM_OUTPUT in the UDF manual. This samples the particle properties at a specified plane. Make sure you do not remove the samples upon hitting the plane.

Cheers mate!
