When Gambit cannot generate a surface or a volume mesh, he define each node of that surface, volume with a letter: S, F ... .What is the meaning of these notations?

S is for Side F doesn't exist E is for End R ist for Reversal C is for Corner N is for No-tri-element
you can change the type of vertex for forcing Gambit to mesh for example a Not-Mappable Surface in a Mappable's one See /modeling_guide/mg0303.htm#mesh_face_setvrtx chapter of Gambit Modeling Guide |
