operating pressure

I am trying to replicate my lab experiment that is flow over a heated flat plate at a high local reynolds number. In order to prevent pump cavitation I have to pressurize the loop to 25 PSI. When modeling this in Fluent I can set the operating pressure as such, but does that also modify the outlet pressure or do I need to set that as well from the default of zero guage?

thanks

Re: operating pressure

The outlet pressure will certainly affected by the operating pressure definition. I think no caviation will appear in Flent if you don't turn the caviation model on.

Re: operating pressure

however absolute pressure will go below the saturation pressure with no cav model. Using the cav model you may also see negative absolute pressure in Fluent.
