In my code, I need to manage a mesh file with format msh. The thing is that I can't understand the msh format. Is there any thing available explaining how the mesh is stored (conncetivity arrays, faces etc....)? Thanks

Change the solver in Gambit to Generic and then export your mesh, you will obtain the mesh in a name.neu file, this file could be seen with any text editor.
Study this file and figure out how you could use the mesh in your code. Paul |

see the following link... for *.cas file format.... http://www.engres.odu.edu/Applicatio...g/node1376.htm
*.cas file and *.msh have same format except *.cas contains morre information about boundaries..... otherwise the mesh information are same in both file.... Yes dont forget to write cas or msh file into ASCI format by switching off the binary mode when u are writting cas or msh file... Best of luck..... |
