Parallel Processing in Quad Core Computer

Hello CFD masters,

I am using FLUENT on my Quad Core Dell workstation, it is a Windows XP system. And I have tried to use the parellel processing with the normal command for the cluster, i.e. fluent 3d -t2. But seems it only uses 25% of the CPU resources, and it doesn't speed up the calculation either.

Anybody has a clue how to make it faster with a quad core computer?

Many thanks,

i use ./fluent 3d -t4 -pnet and it works fine, but first you have to see if you have mpi running on your pc...
