i'm using fluent 6.3 and the pathlines do not provide enough information. specifically, there are not enough pathlines to characterize flow in the entire model. i can't seem to find (either in the software, in the manual, or in online forums) how to ADD pathlines.
how does fluent determine the number of pathlines to use? i have plenty of steps and fluid flows from the entrance through the exit but i want to see if it reaches certain areas...and possibly velocity/time it takes to reach that region. i know i can 'thin' the pathline profiles by toggling the skip value; and through that, determined that fluent used 200 pathlines to model my flow. anyone know how to increase that to say, 500? thanks, in advance. |
