Dear all

I am running a k epsilon RANS simulation of a gas cylinder to determnine the mixing properties of propane. I have two inlet pipes and one outlet pipe. The inlet pipes I have specified with as an inlet velocity with species mass fraction one for propane.

I have simulated an unsteady anlaysis. When I run the simulation for a long time >20second, time step 0.1s the propane does not seem to enter into the cylinder container. Instead it is only present at the inlet faces

Can someone explain what is wrong ?

thanks

Richard

Hi, I hope out of two inlets one for fuel and other for air.

so for fuel inlet specify the velocity and mass fraction of propane as 1. and for air inlet specify the corresponding air velocity and mass fraction of oxygen as 0.21. Reduce the time step size.

hope it will help.
