Problem with WET COMBUSTION

Hello,

I am modeling coal fired boiler with Non premixed combustion approach. I want to specify the moisture content in the coal. So I am using wet combustion approach in Fluent. But when I activate the same and given volume fraction of water and perform iterations; In first DPM iterations only it stops by giving error .... Failed.

If any one has encounter such problem then kindly let me know.

Thanks

Have you supplied the thermodynamic data file?

Dear Smith,

Thanks for reply.

During setting up the case , it shows a default path of thermodynamic data file.

c:\fluent.inc\fluent6.3.26\\cpropep\data\\thermo.d b

I have not changed the same.

Thanks

That file may not be containing the information about the species which you come across in the reaction. You need to get the correct thermodynamic file for using Non Premixed Combustion model. If you want any further information regarding this, please visit www.reactiondesign.com. Regards,
