No Fluent menu letters, no libXp.so.6 for Gambit
 

Dear all,

I have installed Fluent 6.3.26 and Gambit 2.3.16 on my linux (Fedora 9) computer (with license server on a network). Now when I start Fluent the Fluent front panel shows, but no letters in the drop down menu shows (just some empty squares). And when I start gambit the following message appears:

LANG en_US.UTF-8 changed temporarily to en_US for gambit use. Starting /home/didier/Fluent.Inc/gambit2.3.16/lnx86/gambit ... /home/didier/Fluent.Inc/gambit2.3.16/lnx86/gambit: error while loading shared libraries: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I added the following lines to my .bashrc file:

PATH=/home/didier/Fluent.Inc/bin:$PATH export PATH

FLUENTLM_LICENSE_FILE=7241@xxx.xxx.xxx.xx export FLUENTLM_LICENSE_FILE

(where I the x's are the license server IP address)

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

Install libraries for fonts, I had a similar situation, got resolved after that.

Once you install fonts try opening gambit using "gambit -x11"
