Hi every one....

I want to know about the physical meaning of GAS HOURLY SPACE VELOCITY(GHSV).

In my work, I have 2-D RECTANGULAR micro-channel. Mixture of two gas entered into the channel with constant "FLOW RATE"[m^3/sec]. In this case how i can find the GHSV?

thanks

SEEMI

The hourly space velovity is defined as volumetric flow rate per space volume(it can be that of a catalyst). Now you divide the flow rate by the volumetric space and you'll get a value in time(inverse). I hope it helps
