Re: jet impingement

Is it a liquid jet or a gaseous (air) jet?

Hello Syukreen, You'll have to search the publications in journals and conference proceedings. You can study estimation of Nusselt No., heat transfer from the surface (cooling rate) at various air flow rates, air entrainment, momentum transfer to the plate etc. from this exercise. I hope this will help you for the time being. Best luck Prasad

Hello Syukreen

I am working on same project that you are. and I have problem with modeling an axisymetric jet flow by Fluent.I will be thank you if you help me. also I have good papers about radial jet flow that I can send them for you.

best regards, Mohsen Javanshir

Hi,

All you need is a sufficient densy mesh near the wall where the impengment took place. That is in order to capture the flow details near the wall.
