URGENT
 
Dear all,

I want to hook a temperature profile for an unsteady analysis.Its in Xl sheet.Pls do help me how to hook it into fluent.

hi, you must write a UDF qith macro DEFINE_PROFILE. there are some examples on UDF user guide.

hi pal,

In that UDF whih is in UDF source ,we got temperature varying for position and time as well. But I want only for time dependant temperature profile. pls do guide me

Hi inside the UDF user guide look for Define_profile example 7. copy and paste the example of target mass flow rate profile. instead mass flow label, you can change those names with temperature labels. delete the "if" statement if you don't need this feature. Inside the f_loop write your expression of temperature that will be function of time. for hooking this UDF I send back you to UDF user guide Hooking chapter. nothing of difficult how you can see. Forum help to guide towards the right way.

Check the user manual for unsteady profiles. You can directly read data in the form of tables. Check page 7-11 of user guide for fluent6.3.26
