2D air parabolic velocity profile
 

Hi,

Does anybody know a 2-D steady state velocity profile for air for laminar flow? I made an udf but it doesnt look nice. I need a "well-shaped" parabola for my profile.

For Channel and Pipe flows, it is a parabolic one. Just Google with the key word "Poiseulle Flow" and you will get it. One of the millions is: http://galileo.phys.virginia.edu/cla...ds2/node6.html

there is a detailed example for your problem in the FLUENT UDF-manual (chapter 8.1) which also includes the udf source-file.
