Default Effect of pressure head on single phase simulation

Hi There,

I am simulating a treated water reservoir wherein two huge compartments(4-5 acers area) are joined with a pipe. Water enters(250 cfs) to tank 1 and then flows to tank 2 through the connecting pipe with the gravity. Now while simulating this, how much effect it could have if I simulate it with single phase simulation. Or is it really needful to adopt for the VOF simulation?
