Solid Particle Simulation without DPM

Dear All,
Suppose there is a single phase liquid flow through a tube under a set of boundary conditions. Now, after the solution is allowed to converge, I wish to simulate a solid particle in the domain. Can that be done by altering the flow properties at a given location (say by increasing the viscosity to a high value at that particular location, through UDF). This would lead to pathlines diverging around the point, just as in case of solids. I do not wish to use DPM for simulating solid particles. Thanking you in anticipation, Nikhil |
