Hi. When i go to make a structural mesh ,at gambit, on the curve wall with dencely mesh, i have a problem on construct it. The problem is that the vertical lines of grid deform near the wall and after allow the horizontal lines. Thus there are many points of region ,which is near the wall, where there is a deformed mesh.

My curve wall is not a typificanion of circle or parapolic but is a curve which is made from link of many points.

Can anyone help me for this?

I think u can use size functions to control the size. (May be) with proximity size functions.

Hi kotas,

There is one more way to do it i.e. create a tri surface mesh and then grow prism layers on it in tgrid which will work as the clustering near your wall and then grow tetra in then domain. In Complex geometries folks go by this method of preprocessing. i.e. in complex geom. like underhood/underfloor. so this kind of approach can work for you if the physics is just a simple flow ...

uday regards

How did you create this mesh? Did you create it using hexa mapped mesh with gradings on the edge mesh, or did you create boundary layers separately using the boundary layer mesh?

If you are concerned with the spacings near the wall and you want to have full control over this, you can create these with boundary layer meshing, either on a face or on an edge. You can then have various algorithms and characteristics to control the growth of these elements as you want.

is the face a flat plane?

it looks like the face is strongly curved in that region

Zongtwi, i make the nodes at two perpenticular lines of surface( with the first lengt) and after i make the mesh of surface. I do not use the boundary layer tool. I will look this..

OK i made the boundary layer with the tool "boundary layer" of mesh. Now how i fill the remainder face with mesh?

Basic, i have a surface, in which one edge is the wall and here i want to make the boundary layer. Do i make at the other edge, the nodes and after i make a surface mesh with tool "mesh faces"?

Please make the boundary layer at the concerned edge first and then the edge meshes for the remaining edges. After that you can use the option for face meshing.
