viscosity ratio limited

I am calculating the flow in a circular expansion. Everything looks very nice, the residuals and the solution, but I keep getting warning about turbulent viscosity limited to viscosity ratio of etc....

What is the reason for the warning and how do i solve it.

I use k-epsilon-realizable, energy equation activated I have a temperature profile from the inlet, incompressible-ideal-gas.

Re: viscosity ratio limited

This warning is usually due to coarse mesh.If you use finer mesh then you shoud not get this warning. However there are cases where after some time steps this warning dissapears.

In my opinion if your solution converges within 100 iterrations and the results are reasonable you can ignore this warning.

Re: viscosity ratio limited

Generally, it is an indication of bad element/s in the mesh which causes the turb. vis ratio to jump through the roof. The best way is to look at the skewed elements and try improve the quality of the mesh as best as you can.
